The GSI’s European Institute for
Conferences and Professional Training in Bonn is an independent,
non-partisan and non-profit-making establishment for political
education.
Recognised in this capacity by the federal state of North
Rhine-Westphalia, the GSI organises conferences and symposia,
congresses, workshops and seminars on a wide range of subjects
The aims of our educational activities
are:
- to prepare people of all generations for the knowledge
society of the 21st century by providing educational events
for lifelong learning
- to promote European unification and enlargement as well
as international cooperation
- to unite people from different professional, social and
socio-political groups from Germany, Europe and other continents
- to improve critical opinion-forming and to strengthen
people’s democratic sense of responsibility
- to exchange views on social and political subjects

educational events are currently focused on: |
European Politics
- the new Europe, future of political and economic development
- the future of the European security policy
- the role of Europe in the global policy of the 21st century
Aspects of International Politics and Cooperation
- North-South development policy
- Franco-German relations and consolidation of the cooperation
between German and French young people
- current economic and socio-political topics, for example the
reformation of the welfare state, migration, demographic change,
living together in a multicultural society
- career orientation and professional qualifications
