2024 is a historical year concerning European development. In June, European citizens will elect a new parliament. The results will shape the balance of power and the political agenda for the next five years. The program of the 32nd European GSI Summer School aims to analyse these outcomes but also the consequences of this election. Questions may be asked as to whether the path ahead is characterized by cooperation or confrontation between European countries as well as in relation to neighbours and partners?
Europe is still facing a growing number of challenges: the Russian war against Ukraine, climate change, just to name two. The 32nd European GSI Summer School will be the perfect opportunity to discuss these challenges as well as finding solutions. As an international meeting point for 30 years, many European and non-European students and young professionals attended this program. Many of whom now work as journalists, entrepreneurs, ambassadors, scientists and even as ministers for foreign affairs.
