Dr. Michael Winkelmüller

European Expert, Specialist solicitor for administrative law

Crossing borders is sometimes a most difficult job. Which border would you abolish immediately?

Dr Michael Winkelmüller: The most difficult borders to cross are those between people and every person’s inner limitations. It is important to recognize one's own limits in order to perceive and accept the other as an independent person. What I consider most important is the dismantling of the boundaries that prevent us as human beings from becoming great while at the same time preserving the dignity of others.

Creating the future needs priorities: What is the most important task the EU is facing in the next years?

Dr Michael Winkelmüller: Maintaining and further developing the political union to take a leading role in peacekeeping and the protection of human dignity and the environment in the world.
